About the Role and Company

FNZ’s mission is to transform wealth management into a more accessible and equitable experience globally. As part of the Global Information Security team, the European CISO will spearhead cybersecurity resilience throughout FNZ’s platforms, which support over 20 million investors worldwide. The successful candidate will oversee and direct a local information security team dedicated to embedding cyber resilience in line with FNZ’s strategic goals. Reporting to the Head of Information Security, the role requires deep experience in regulated financial services and comprehensive knowledge of diverse security frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Head up information security functions within assigned business segments.
  • Manage interactions with internal business units and external stakeholders, including regulators and clients.
  • Drive the local execution, maintenance, and support of FNZ’s Cyber Resilience strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Assist the Group CISO in implementing the broader Group Cyber Resilience initiatives.
  • Participate in formulating and disseminating corporate security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate local services fulfilling client and regulatory demands such as audit preparation, responses to RFPs, and client information security committees.
  • Lead and mentor a local team of Information Security Officers and Analysts to provide a consistent, global caliber security service.
  • Champion security-conscious culture within the business.
  • Conduct assessments, analyses, and reporting of information and cyber security risks to relevant stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven leadership of Information Security teams or functions in a financial services environment.
  • Strong expertise in operational application of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and COBIT.
  • Familiarity with audit standards like ISAE 3402 and SOC 2.
  • In-depth understanding of European regulations and legislation including GDPR, DORA, and the AI Act.
  • Experience managing relationships with regulators and clients at a senior level.
  • Skilled in guiding internal stakeholders through enhancements in information security maturity.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate security risks and principles to diverse audiences.
  • Certified in prominent information security qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
