Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data preprocessing methodologies considering potential data biases.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and develop, validate, and assess statistical models and hypotheses.
- Select, adapt, scale, and implement analytics algorithms and machine learning models.
- Create visualizations and convey analysis results and recommendations effectively to target audiences.
- Support the deployment of algorithms and machine learning models in collaboration with data engineers.
- Establish and enhance model monitoring processes; analyze and improve model performance during operation.
- Ensure data processing complies with legal regulations and ethical standards.
- Design and apply concepts for data anonymization and pseudonymization.
- Independently address complex and unstructured issues, developing sustainable solutions.
- Mentor team members and assist with onboarding new colleagues.
- Lead projects and coordinate collaboration with related departments.
Qualifications
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable field or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
- Strong skills in developing, implementing, and optimizing analytics algorithms and machine learning models.
- Experience with statistical data analysis and in developing and validating data models.
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Solid knowledge of SQL.
- Good programming skills in Python.
- Analytical, structured work approach and ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
- Experience in project work and team coordination is advantageous.
- Fluent German language skills (at least C1) and good English proficiency (B2).
