Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data preprocessing methodologies considering potential data biases.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and develop, validate, and assess statistical models and hypotheses.
• Select, adapt, scale, and implement analytics algorithms and machine learning models.
• Create visualizations and convey analysis results and recommendations effectively to target audiences.
• Support the deployment of algorithms and machine learning models in collaboration with data engineers.
• Establish and enhance model monitoring processes; analyze and improve model performance during operation.
• Ensure data processing complies with legal regulations and ethical standards.
• Design and apply concepts for data anonymization and pseudonymization.
• Independently address complex and unstructured issues, developing sustainable solutions.
• Mentor team members and assist with onboarding new colleagues.
• Lead projects and coordinate collaboration with related departments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable field or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Strong skills in developing, implementing, and optimizing analytics algorithms and machine learning models.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and in developing and validating data models.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Solid knowledge of SQL.
• Good programming skills in Python.
• Analytical, structured work approach and ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Experience in project work and team coordination is advantageous.
• Fluent German language skills (at least C1) and good English proficiency (B2).
