About the Role
Join us as a Customer Delivery Driver where you will deliver our quality Waitrose products directly to customers, embodying our commitment to exceptional Partner-led service. When not out delivering, you’ll assist in the store with daily activities such as restocking and maintaining cleanliness. You will help ensure smooth and productive store operations in a positive and welcoming team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Start your workday from the store and plan your delivery routes.
- Load and organize your van to facilitate efficient delivery of customer orders.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle safety inspections to maintain road safety and compliance.
- Represent the Waitrose brand by providing outstanding customer service during deliveries.
- Assist customers with their shopping needs, fostering trust and good relationships.
- Support the shop team with general housekeeping and shop maintenance tasks when necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
- Hold a full and valid UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- Possess strong customer service and time management skills.
- Physically capable of handling tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
- Comfortable working independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
- Competent in basic IT skills.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a delivery driving role.
- Familiarity with chilled vehicle operation is advantageous.
