Role overview

An opportunity is open for a Java Architect to take ownership of the architecture and technical direction of a large-scale web application landscape. The role sits within a global digital transformation and IT services setting, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-scale reliability, cloud modernization, and system performance.

This position is structured as a contractual engagement and is based remotely within India.

What you will do

Set and maintain the technical direction for Java-based web applications.
Design enterprise systems that are built for scale and high throughput.
Drive SaaS integrations and cloud-native modernization efforts.
Investigate systems under heavy load and redesign them to improve stability.
Resolve difficult production issues and strengthen long-term platform reliability.
Advise engineering teams on architecture, coding standards, and solution design.
Shape architecture decisions across the full software development lifecycle.

Technical background needed

10 to 15 years of strong experience in Java architecture.
Solid practical knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API design.
Hands-on exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
Experience working with enterprise SaaS integrations.
Ability to improve application performance, scalability, and resilience.
Experience troubleshooting complex systems and re-engineering solutions.
Cloud and SaaS experience is essential.
