About the Role
Mercor, a company renowned for linking top creative and technical professionals with prominent AI research laboratories, invites applications for the position of Biology / Environmental Science Evaluator. The company is based in San Francisco with backing from notable investors.
This contract role is fully remote, offering competitive hourly compensation between $80 and $120.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess AI-produced content utilizing specialized quality criteria relevant to the biological and environmental science domains.
- Detect errors related to facts, aesthetics, and presentation across diverse formats including documents, spreadsheets, and presentation slides.
- Deliver well-organized, detailed written feedback aimed at refining the outputs of AI models.
- Partner with AI research teams to boost the quality and efficiency of training datasets.
- Operate autonomously and manage deadlines efficiently, working asynchronously to support improvements in AI model performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of five years' professional experience in biology or environmental science.
- Fluency in English at native or professional proficiency levels.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, with particular emphasis on Slides.
- Preferred candidates hold an advanced degree such as a Master’s or higher from a recognized institution.
