Assistant Project Manager - Civil Engineering Projects

Overview

We are looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager to actively participate in the planning and delivery of civil engineering projects based in Coimbatore. The role demands consistent site supervision, quantity surveying, coordination with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring projects meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits regularly to track progress, verify quality standards, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Estimate quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) related to civil construction work.
• Perform quantity surveying including material estimation, measuring, and cost evaluations.
• Create project drawings and drafts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Assist in scheduling, planning, and managing project execution to meet timelines.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project movements.
• Keep track of material needs and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Ensure safety, quality, and project guidelines are strictly followed onsite.
• Attend client meetings and report project updates when required.
• Identify site issues promptly and work with stakeholders for resolution.
• Contribute to budget preparation, workforce scheduling, and resource allocation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Between 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in civil project management or site supervision.
• Proficiency in Quantity Surveying and BOQ preparation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site operational procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of multitasking and working efficiently within deadlines.
• Willingness to travel frequently for onsite visits.
• Mandatory possession of a valid Two-Wheeler driving license and ownership of a Two-Wheeler vehicle for site transportation.
• Immediate joining candidates preferred.
