Role overview
This position is for a plant accountant based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records for a manufacturing environment and supporting day-to-day finance operations across the plant.
Key responsibilities
- Keep plant-level books of accounts and financial statements up to date.
- Track costing across raw materials, production activities, and overhead expenses.
- Manage inventory accounting and carry out stock reconciliations.
- Compile monthly MIS reports and perform variance analysis.
- Compare actual production costs with budgeted figures and flag major gaps.
- Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Work closely with production, purchase, and finance teams for coordinated operations.
- Assist with both internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain accounting records for fixed assets at the plant level.
