Accountant

Role overview

This position is for a plant accountant based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records for a manufacturing environment and supporting day-to-day finance operations across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Keep plant-level books of accounts and financial statements up to date.
• Track costing across raw materials, production activities, and overhead expenses.
• Manage inventory accounting and carry out stock reconciliations.
• Compile monthly MIS reports and perform variance analysis.
• Compare actual production costs with budgeted figures and flag major gaps.
• Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Work closely with production, purchase, and finance teams for coordinated operations.
• Assist with both internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain accounting records for fixed assets at the plant level.
