Technical Writer

About the Role

Barden is recruiting on behalf of a global biotechnology company for a Technical Writer position located at a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Cork. This contract role demands expertise in technical writing along with coordination of training initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, and cross-training of support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop continuous improvement of the documentation management strategy.
• Create precise, high-quality documents adhering to data integrity and ALCOA principles while aligning with compliance standards and audience relevance.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Veeva Quality Documents and Compliance Wire platforms, providing assistance to team members in utilizing these systems effectively.
• Draft, review, and approve Business Process Documents (BPDs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical protocols, reports, forms, work instructions, and other documentation types.
• Work collaboratively with technical Subject Matter Experts and teams to acquire in-depth product and business knowledge enabling accurate documentation.
• Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders.
• Identify and implement enhancements to technical writing processes, including developing advanced templates.
• Support technical writing activities across the site and partner with multiple departmental SMEs.
• Oversee the transition of documentation into Veeva Quality Documents and manage Change Requests as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a third-level qualification in a Science or Engineering field or substantial proven experience in relevant technical documentation writing.
• Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation, exceptional organizational capabilities, and the ability to perform independently.
