Position Overview
Our Launceston branch is seeking a dedicated full-time Storeperson/Driver. This role offers an excellent chance to join one of Australia's premier electrical wholesalers, providing a supportive and friendly environment with industry-competitive pay and career development prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle typical warehouse duties such as receiving, loading, unloading deliveries, processing and dispatching customer orders, and conducting stocktakes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and efficiently pick and pack items for shipment.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in both showroom and warehouse areas to uphold a clean workspace.
- Drive safely and courteously, adhering strictly to road regulations when operating company vehicles.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture within the workplace.
- Deliver excellent customer service and sales assistance to a wide range of trade customers in the electrical sector.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence.
- Capability to perform physical tasks involving manual handling and lifting.
- Previous experience in warehousing or customer-facing roles.
- Certification to operate forklifts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
- Basic proficiency with computers and IT systems.
- Experience in electrical or trade supply sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
