About the role
Vestas is looking for a Stock Keeper to support wind energy service operations at site level in the Northern Cape. In this position, you will help keep inventory, tools, and materials organized and available so maintenance and service work can continue without interruption. The role suits someone with a warehouse or logistics background, and experience in wind energy is welcome but not required.
What you will do
- Handle receiving, dispatching, and storage activities so the right parts and tools are available when operations need them.
- Follow up on urgent materials and push forward critical items to reduce turbine downtime and keep service work moving.
- Keep stock records accurate by carrying out inventory checks and updating the ERP system regularly.
- Work closely with technicians and site leaders to predict material needs, resolve supply issues, and support day-to-day operations.
- Contribute to a reliable supply chain that supports Vestas’ clean energy mission.
What we are looking for
- Someone who is careful, well organized, and able to manage time effectively.
- Previous work in a warehouse, stock, or materials-handling environment, preferably 2–3 years.
- Comfort using Excel and ERP/MRP tools such as SAP or Power BI.
- A safety-first mindset and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, speak, and follow instructions in English.
- A matric certificate and a valid driver’s license.
Competencies and working style
- Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English; knowledge of a local language is an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP ERP.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Valid driver’s license.
