Role Summary

The Service Centre Operative plays a hands-on, multifaceted role within the laundry service center, supporting operational processes with a focus on quality and efficiency. The role involves handling customer garments, operating machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards. Operatives holding a valid driving license may also perform delivery and collection duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare customer textile items before washing, ensuring proper tagging and SAP documentation.
• Operate washing and drying equipment safely with adherence to correct program settings and loading procedures.
• Inspect cleaned garments for quality assurance, logging any defects in SAP.
• Prepare and pack finished orders accurately, including appropriate labeling and paperwork.
• Maintain detailed records throughout the processing stages for consistency and clarity.
• Where licensed, safely deliver and collect laundry items using company vehicles, providing professional customer service during handovers.
• Comply with all health and safety guidelines related to chemicals, machinery, and vehicles.
• Keep workstations clean and well-organized to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Assist colleagues and departments as needed to support business requirements.

Educational Requirements
