The team is seeking a Room Attendant (Runner) to support housekeeping operations and guest service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Show a clear understanding of the Shangri-La guest experience and follow the hotel’s current housekeeping service standards.
- Pay attention to guest preferences and use that information to improve satisfaction.
- Interact with guests in a professional, thoughtful, and caring manner while complying with hotel policies and procedures.
- Respond quickly to guest requests and complete running errands when needed.
- Handle housekeeping chemicals and equipment correctly, including proper care and usage.
- Prepare guest rooms, including setting up extra beds and baby cots/playpens.
- Manage guest loan items and ensure they are clean, working properly, and accurately tracked.
- Follow standard procedures for handling master keys, pagers, and phones.
- Report any missing or damaged linen, furniture, fixtures, or equipment to the Service Leader – Housekeeping.
- Escalate maintenance issues or defects to the Service Leader – Housekeeping so they can be addressed promptly.
Requirements
- Applicants should have at least 1 year of work experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry.
