Job description
About Personio and Role Overview
Personio offers an intelligent HR platform that streamlines complex, time-intensive tasks for small and medium enterprises. With a team of 1,500 employees serving over 15,000 customers and 1.5 million users, the company is pioneering an AI-first transformation to enhance operational efficiency. This role is based in Dublin and requires a hybrid work model, with two days weekly in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with departmental and executive leaders to analyze workflows, identifying inefficiencies and evaluating which processes require acceleration versus fundamental redesign.
- Drive process improvements that go beyond automation, focusing on transformative workflow innovations to maximize value.
- Maintain and prioritize a well-justified backlog of projects, developing a quarterly roadmap communicated to domain heads and senior stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary Internal AI team representative within your domain, identifying blockers and opportunities while maintaining alignment with senior leadership and the AI director.
- Contribute best practices in prioritization, governance, and stakeholder engagement to enhance the broader Internal AI PM function.
- Lead the design, build, testing, and deployment of automation and AI agents using Personio's internal AI technologies, managing projects from concept through to live systems in production.
- Assume full ownership of the build lifecycle, ensuring delivered solutions are maintained, adopted, and deliver measurable impact.
- Engage AI Engineers for complex challenges where deeper technical expertise is required, understanding when to escalate.
- Adhere to Personio's AI governance by registering tools developed and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Champion adoption of AI solutions by monitoring usage post-deployment, iterating based on actual product engagement rather than assumptions.
- Empower colleagues to utilize AI tools independently by conducting workshops, office hours, and coaching sessions, fostering a proactive AI culture within the domain.
Candidate Profile and Required Skills
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in product management, automation, or AI engineering within fast-moving tech environments or consultancies, delivering production-grade solutions.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end deployment of AI and automation initiatives, from requirements gathering to live, supported systems with verified user adoption.
- Practical familiarity with current AI development stacks, including large language model APIs (such as Claude, OpenAI), agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph), memory-centric programming, retrieval augmented generation, and no-code automation platforms like n8n, Make, Zapier, and Cowork.
- Competent in Python programming and SQL querying for technical implementation and data analysis.
- Strong strategic product judgment with the ability to influence senior executives, clarify ambiguous requirements, maintain prioritized roadmaps, and facilitate organizational change without direct reporting lines.
- Insightful understanding of AI and automation capabilities and limitations along with knowledge about emerging industry trends.
