Job description
Position Overview
The role involves supporting supervisors in managing pharmaceutical inventory including drugs and consumables, handling packaging and replenishment tasks, and participating in automated inventory systems. Maintaining cleanliness and assisting operational supervisors at the pharmacy are also key responsibilities.
Key Duties
- Maintain cleanliness at pharmacy counters, cashier stations, and display shelves daily.
- Perform general housekeeping duties such as clearing cartons throughout the pharmacy premises.
- Receive, inspect deliveries ensuring products arrive in good condition, and document stock movements accurately.
- Distribute pharmaceutical items to various sections and nursing stations with proper documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, top up stock prioritizing expiry dates, and ensure all stock is well maintained under appropriate storage conditions.
- Record and dispose of expired or deteriorated drugs according to protocol.
- Follow correct procedures for returning goods to suppliers.
- Pre-pack tablets, capsules, and lotions as required.
- Keep storage areas clean and organized, and oversee housekeeping of storage equipment including refrigerators.
- Track consumable supplies such as paper and bags, and assist with cycle counts and stock-taking preparations.
- Supervise cleaning activities performed by external service teams within the pharmacy space.
- Train new health attendants and storekeepers on pharmacy operations.
- Participate in workplace improvement projects and any additional duties as assigned by the reporting officer.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education: GCE N or O Level certificate.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant inventory or storekeeping role.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong teamwork skills, motivated, and customer service oriented.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time role with a 5.5 day work week on a non-shift basis. The work location is at National University Polyclinics (NUP) in the West region of Singapore.
