Job description
Position Overview
This role involves the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of medical samples, specimens, and laboratory reports between healthcare facilities and diagnostic centers. The successful candidate should have keen attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, familiarity with medical terminology and protocols, and adherence to strict guidelines to preserve sample integrity and protect patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and transport medical specimens and biological materials safely and efficiently
- Handle and store sensitive biological samples correctly during transit, ensuring proper temperature management where needed
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collections, deliveries, and incidents related to transport
- Plan and optimize routes to maximize delivery efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on transport vehicles to keep them operational
- Manage urgent deliveries and emergency situations with priority handling
- Follow stringent patient confidentiality and Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) policies
- Carry out miscellaneous duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
- For Dispatch Rider: Must have a valid Class 2B license and own a motorbike
- For Dispatch Driver: Must hold a Class 3 driving license; possessing both Class 2B and Class 3 licenses is preferred
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling preferred
- 1 to 2 years of experience in courier or healthcare logistics is desirable
- Demonstrated meticulousness and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and be a cooperative team member
Additional Information
- Working schedule includes a 5.5-day workweek
