Role Purpose

The Senior Specialist - Finance will aid finance operations by ensuring precise accounting records, handling financial transactions, preparing reconciliations, and contributing to financial report preparation while strictly following company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and oversee daily financial transactions, encompassing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Provide support for everyday finance operations and assist in maintaining accurate accounting data.
• Prepare reconciliations and contribute to financial reporting efforts.
• Coordinate finance-related issues with internal stakeholders.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting tasks.
• Safeguard confidentiality and accuracy of financial information and maintain proper documentation supporting all transactions.
• Adhere to company finance policies, accounting standards, and IFRS guidelines.
• Support audit readiness and collaborate with central finance and tax teams as required.
• Comply with organizational health, safety, and environmental policies, performing finance duties in alignment with internal controls and risk management requirements.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives focusing on process automation, accuracy of reporting, and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalents are preferred.
• Three to five years' experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and intercompany accounting processes is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, especially in reporting and reconciliation features.
• Basic knowledge of VAT and withholding tax (WHT) requirements.
• Understanding of financial reporting workflows and compliance standards.

Skills

• Solid grasp of financial accounting concepts and reporting protocols.
• Analytical skills to assess financial data and detect inconsistencies.
• Experienced user of ERP platforms and financial reporting software.
• Advanced Excel competencies, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions for financial analysis.
• Knowledge of internal financial controls, compliance obligations, and audit procedures.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and precision in financial records.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
