Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of advanced AI platforms, including Conversational AI and enterprise knowledge solutions, providing technical guidance and maintaining consistency across projects.
• Create and manage reusable frameworks facilitating integration with digital and mobile channels, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable AI interactions compliant with enterprise and regulatory standards.
• Design intelligent automation systems for banking processes such as KYC, compliance, customer support, and risk monitoring, ensuring effective workflows and continuous monitoring aligned with business and risk objectives.
• Oversee deployment and operation of Generative AI, large language models, and embedding models, standardizing procedures for deployment, monitoring, and scaling while guiding prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation to guarantee responsible, reliable model use.
• Implement MLOps best practices including automated retraining, monitoring, drift detection, and enforce safeguards for fairness, security, explainability, and regulatory compliance; monitor KPIs to foster ongoing operational improvements.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud-based AI/ML pipelines leveraging Azure and AWS platforms, ensuring consistent architectural designs, secure data management, and performance standards.
• Utilize Generative AI principles, design modular code, and apply containerization and DevOps methodologies such as Docker and CI/CD pipelines for scalable, automated deployment.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies and tools (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, Pinecone, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock) to enhance enterprise capabilities.
• Manage and lead the AI engineering team in alignment with ADCB’s human resource policies, ensuring goal achievement and adherence to departmental standards and quality requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, motivating team members to participate in change initiatives and maintain high service standards.
• Uphold ADCB’s service standards and demonstrate commitment to delivering superior customer and stakeholder experiences.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in AI/ML engineering, platform development, or large-scale digital product engineering, ideally with exposure to digital-only banks or major digital transformations.
• Proven track record deploying enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions in banking or financial services, with hands-on experience in Conversational AI, agent deployment, and scaling Generative AI platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative disciplines; Master’s degree in AI/ML preferred.
• Technical expertise in AI/ML engineering, including deep learning, large language models, multimodal models, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and agent-based systems.
• Proficiency in NLP/NLU, recommendation engines, and personalization techniques.
• Strong skills in Python programming; experience with QL/NoSQL, GraphQL, REST, FAST APIs; cloud platforms (Azure, AWS); and MLOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with data platforms including data lakes, knowledge graphs, vector databases, and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Superset.
• Innovative mindset embracing emerging trends such as foundation models, reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), and agentic AI.
• Ability to rapidly prototype solutions ensuring enterprise-level scalability and security.
• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for stakeholder engagement.
• Active participation in AI communities and contribution to open-source projects is advantageous.
