Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst role is pivotal for enhancing financial reporting and guiding strategic decisions within the organization. This position involves managing budget and forecast variance analyses, creating financial models and dashboards, delivering monthly management reports, and supporting financial closing processes compliant with IFRS standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis of financial performance, examining variances between Budget vs. Actual and Forecast vs. Actual figures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and interactive dashboards.
- Evaluate revenue streams, cost structures, gross margins, and overall operational performance.
- Compile and submit monthly management reporting packages.
- Enhance and automate financial reporting workflows utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS regulations in all reporting and closing activities.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes as needed.
- Identify and recommend improvements for reporting procedures and internal financial controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience in Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Financial Analysis.
- In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficient in advanced Excel tools, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and SUMIFS functions.
- Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and creation of management reports.
- Strong analytical abilities coupled with problem-solving skills.
- Competence in Power BI is considered a significant asset.
