Role Overview
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our energetic team at our headquarters in Hamburg city center. You will contribute significantly to budget planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis processes to support the continuous development of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly financial closings including generating reports.
- Develop and perform analyses, financial forecasts, and ongoing cost and profitability calculations.
- Understand upstream business processes to proactively enhance existing reporting systems and processes, and lead special projects and analyses.
- Actively participate in implementing new systems.
- Serve as a contact point for both external and internal auditors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Successfully completed studies in business-related fields such as controlling, strategic management, corporate leadership, or similar.
- Preferably some initial experience in a comparable role involving the establishment of reporting and/or controlling systems.
- A curious mindset with a strong analytical ability to question existing processes, comprehend complex relationships, and adapt them to future business needs.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and their impact on financial planning and analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and ideally experience with SAP/R3, Hyperion, or similar financial reporting tools.
- Work style marked by high initiative and strong commitment.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
