Restaurant Utility Worker

Role Overview

Zaxbys is looking for a Restaurant Utility Worker to help keep the restaurant in clean, safe, and working order. This role focuses on day-to-day cleaning, deeper cleaning tasks, and routine upkeep of the building and equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Complete all training required by Zax LLC.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept restaurant environment.
• Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Clean and perform preventative upkeep on restaurant equipment on a regular basis.
• Check equipment by inspecting, operating, or testing it to identify problems.
• Handle minor lighting repairs.
• Perform deep cleaning duties, including pressure washing both inside and outside the location.
• Read and follow equipment manuals, work orders, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
• Regularly inspect the grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, outlets, kitchen equipment, and building for preventive maintenance needs.
• Make basic repairs when needed.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date maintenance records.
• Follow all company standards, policies, and procedures, including those from Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC.
• Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety rules.
• Stay flexible and be willing to support tasks beyond the core duties of the role.
• Report human resources or risk-related issues immediately to the General Manager and District Manager.
• Raise other concerns to the supervisor as needed.
• Take on additional duties required to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• For part-time availability, the schedule must allow 9 to 28 hours per week.
• For full-time availability, the schedule must allow 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Should have leadership qualities, strong organization, and the ability to work well with others.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk continuously.
• Must be able to occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, and climb, including using ladders.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
• Must be able to use hands and wrists continuously for grasping and detailed tasks.
• Must communicate effectively through speaking, reading, and writing.
• Must be able to see and hear well enough to notice and respond to surroundings.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in hot and cold conditions and around food and outdoor allergens.
• Must be able to work safely with restaurant equipment such as knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools.
