Role Overview

We are inviting applications for a Project Finance Controller position based in Dubai, UAE, to join our team delivering excellence in airport logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial planning and analysis to maintain precise business performance forecasts and monitor actuals against yearly targets, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Manage and consolidate periodic financial reporting for ACP/DB projects and cost centers within stipulated deadlines.
• Oversee project accounting activities, including billing, accruals, and joint ventures, ensuring timely and accurate completion in compliance with regulations such as VAT and FRG.
• Develop and manage project budgets post-contract by integrating contract details and the latest inputs from project team members (PM, engineering, scheduling, etc.), performing estimates to complete with interdepartmental collaboration to analyze and affirm conclusions.
• Prepare detailed cost and cash flow plans aligned with accounting standards and project schedules, seeking optimization opportunities, and generate sales forecasts according to budget cycles and financial reporting needs. Draft activity-based costing schedules as necessary.
• Implement thorough cost controlling and allocation procedures by correctly assigning costs, verifying expense postings, comparing actual expenditures against progress, and vigilantly monitoring committed and incurred costs to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.

Candidate Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines; a master's degree is advantageous.
• A robust background spanning at least three years in project finance, controlling, or cost management within electromechanical engineering or construction projects.
• Professional certifications like CPA, CFA, CMA, or qualified Quantity Surveyor credentials are highly valued.
• Strong capability in constructing financial models, budgets, forecasts, and interpreting project financial data to produce accurate, punctual reports for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial and project management tools, advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, alongside experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Thorough understanding of financial standards like GAAP or IFRS to maintain compliance and uphold ethical practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting positive intercultural relations across teams and partners.
• Technical familiarity with project controls, scheduling, contract management, and project coordination.
• Effective communication abilities paired with a proactive, confident, results-driven approach.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and thrive in dynamic environments.
