Overview

Join Hollister Incorporated in Ballina as a Production Operator, where you will play a key role in executing manufacturing and quality inspection tasks following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while upholding high safety and quality standards. This position thrives within a collaborative, adaptable team environment focused on meeting production targets, maintaining quality, and driving continuous enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Carry out manufacturing and assembly processes consistent with established SOPs, work instructions, and quality parameters.
  • Consistently meet production goals including output volume, product quality, and maintain Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through activities such as cleaning and checking machinery.
  • Engage actively as part of a flexible production team fostering collaboration.
  • Develop proficiency in multiple operations within assigned production cells.
  • Support knowledge transfer and provide training assistance to colleagues on specific tasks when needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focusing on enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Collectively share responsibility for meeting schedule targets, maintaining product quality, using safe work methods, ensuring tidy workspaces, targeting minimal waste, and sustaining or improving OEE metrics.
  • Operate and provide backup support for at least three different manufacturing or inspection operations after qualification.
  • Perform detailed product inspections verifying compliance with specifications, drawings, and documented requirements.
  • Complete production, quality, and performance documentation accurately and in compliance with standards.
  • Maintain concentration and accuracy when conducting repetitive or detailed tasks.
  • Operate proficiently within a regulated manufacturing environment, adhering to safety and quality mandates.

Essential Role Functions

  • Conduct component testing and inspections as specified by manufacturing instructions.
  • Adhere to assigned shift schedules and production deadlines.
  • Maintain precise production and quality documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate production flow.

Qualification Requirements

  • Completion of secondary/HS education with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous exposure to manufacturing environments, especially within medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly controlled settings, is preferred.
  • Effective teamwork skills and clear communication abilities with coworkers and leadership.
  • Proficiency in English adequate for understanding procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to quality, operational discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • High attention to detail and consistent execution in routine operations.
