Role overview
This role is responsible for shaping and guiding the direction of one or more device product lines. You will balance immediate delivery needs with longer-term product strategy while working closely with technical and commercial teams.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the product backlog for one or more device product lines and prioritise work across short-term goals and long-term plans.
- Convert customer and business needs into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead agile delivery activities such as planning, refinement, and demos in partnership with engineering and design.
- Oversee the product journey from idea and development through launch and into ongoing support and improvement.
- Work with firmware, hardware, supply chain, and commercial teams to clear obstacles and keep delivery moving.
- Help set quarterly objectives and use data and customer insight to decide what should be built next.
What you should bring
- At least 3 years of experience in product ownership or product management, along with practical use of agile tools and methods.
- Strong knowledge of agile approaches such as Scrum or Kanban, with experience in fast-moving iterative delivery settings.
- A demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and deliver outcomes that satisfy customer and business priorities.
- Experience handling multiple products or features at the same time and making sound prioritisation decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with senior leaders and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Commercial understanding of pricing, revenue growth, and customer acquisition.
- A data-driven mindset, using analysis and customer feedback rather than assumptions to guide decisions.
- Clear communication skills for explaining product vision, roadmaps, and priorities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A tertiary qualification in business, technology, or a related area is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience growing products in fast-scaling or international environments would be an advantage.
