About the Role
McCann FitzGerald LLP is a dynamic legal firm driven by a dedicated team passionate about combining exceptional legal expertise with a human-centered approach to deliver outstanding client results. As part of our expanding IT department, we are hiring a PMO Executive based in Dublin to oversee and ensure the successful delivery of vital strategic and operational projects aligned with business goals, regulatory compliance, and client service excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing all phases from initiation through to completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Track project milestones, address risks and dependencies, and manage budgets effectively.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within defined scope and financial parameters.
- Enhance project delivery standards continuously.
- Maintain adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Create and update essential project documentation including plans, risk and issue logs, and progress reports.
- Provide regular detailed project status updates to senior leaders and partners.
- Develop strong working relationships across partners, legal teams, and business support functions.
- Translate business challenges into clear, actionable project strategies.
- Lead and facilitate key meetings, workshops, and steering committees effectively.
- Identify and implement process improvements targeting operational efficiency and technology integration.
- Champion initiatives in legal technology adoption, digital transformation, and process optimization.
- Support change management activities to facilitate smooth adoption within teams.
- Assess potential project risks and establish appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Guarantee alignment of projects with legal, regulatory, and data protection standards.
- Maintain comprehensive audit trails and related compliance documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in project management or PMO roles.
- Proven background in establishing PMOs and implementing governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex, multi-domain projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication aptitude.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-moving environment.
- Analytical thinking, strong organizational skills, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience or familiarity with legal operations, case management systems, or legal technology is advantageous.
- Background in business transformation or digital implementation initiatives.
- Collaborative working style suited to senior stakeholder interaction.
