Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Retail Assistant to support the Retail Supervisor in driving sales and delivering excellent customer service at our retail pharmacy located in Singapore.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Retail Supervisor in meeting sales objectives for the pharmacy outlet.
- Provide prompt and courteous responses to customer inquiries and feedback.
- Recommend and promote products tailored to customers' needs.
- Coordinate product delivery for patients receiving subsidies and handle subsidy processing.
- Manage opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organize store displays, ensuring merchandise is well presented with updated price tags.
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system for processing payments, discounts, refunds, and exchanges accurately.
- Ensure precise management of cash floats and transactional integrity.
- Report any revenue discrepancies promptly to the Pharmacy Manager.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and rotate stock following the First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) principle.
- Monitor expiration dates and manage stock accordingly.
- Generate purchase orders and accurately record stock receipts.
- Ensure proper documentation including price change notifications and credit notes as per standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Manage sales of rehabilitation equipment by coordinating with staff, suppliers, and clients.
- Collect payments and place orders for subsidized rehabilitation items, verify stock availability, and arrange delivery.
- Manage email communications with suppliers, clients, and staff, providing information and quotations as needed.
- Update catalogue and maintain inventory records systematically.
- Provide support and cover duties for the Retail Supervisor when required.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Participate in hospital-related and community-based projects.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum educational qualification of GCE O level.
- Preferably holding a WSQ Diploma in Retail (Retail Operations).
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
- Experience in business development or sales is a strong advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; a collaborative team player.
- Adaptability, attention to detail, proactive attitude, and capability to manage stress and meet multiple deadlines.
