Role Summary
The People Team Specialist manages essential administrative people processes across multiple field offices nationwide, supporting People Business Partners within Field Operations and the People Operations teams. This role ensures compliance, accurate data management, and timely employee support by maintaining consistent and straightforward people practices. It demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and administrative assistance to the People Business Partner team in Field Operations.
- Handle employee questions via shared HR inboxes, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain HR forms, templates, and internal documents to ensure they are current, consistent, and accessible.
- Support various employee lifecycle processes including employee changes, separations, and recordkeeping while ensuring multi-state employment law compliance.
- Assist with tracking and documentation for leave of absence (LOA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation requests.
- Engage in People Team projects and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
- Ensure employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS) are accurate and troubleshoot problems as needed.
- Prepare reports supporting operational, compliance, and business requirements.
- Offer insights and recommendations to optimize HR systems and workflows.
- Support benefit program administration including open enrollment, onboarding, and qualifying life events.
- Address employee benefit inquiries and coordinate with vendors to resolve any issues.
- Collaborate with HR Operations to review and approve new hire benefits and Evidence of Insurability requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Exceptional communication capabilities.
- Strong service orientation.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience.
- Project management proficiency.
Employment Details
This is a full-time, non-exempt role working remotely with flexibility across different time zones.
Compensation
The starting pay ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, depending on relevant skills, knowledge, experience, and educational qualifications.
