Role Summary

The Parts Picker will support warehouse functions within the automotive parts department. This role involves accurate receiving, verification, picking, and preparation of parts for delivery, adhering closely to packing lists and assembly requirements. The role demands careful stock handling, efficient fulfillment of requests, and maintaining neat organization for prompt service.

Key Duties

• Verify all incoming parts against goods receipt and picking lists.
• Inspect packages for damage and confirm quantities with packing documentation.
• Report any damages or discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
• Pick parts according to delivery instructions, ensuring part numbers match requisitions.
• Organize picked items by size and location criteria, placing heavy parts low and light parts on top.
• Perform routine physical stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Manage consumable supplies like brake cleaner and WD40, distributing as needed.
• Maintain alignment between physical stock and recorded quantities.
• Efficiently load and unload goods while safeguarding them from damage.
• Operate forklifts and loading equipment to store parts correctly.
• Ensure inventory placement complies with binning and delivery guidelines.
• Follow safety protocols throughout handling and transportation processes.

Required Competencies

• Keen attention to detail for packing verification and quantity checks.
• Good organizational abilities to maintain orderly stock and storage zones.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in goods handling and moving.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proficient in English language for reading, writing, and communicating.
• At least 1 year of experience in warehouse or storage sectors.
• Capable of methodical planning and basic calculations.
• Physically fit to lift loads and handle workplace pressure.
