Responsibilities

• Gather, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing items.
• Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of laundry operations and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and universal precautions to maintain sanitation standards.
• Engage courteously with residents, staff, and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in laundry services is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Maintain a positive outlook and communicate effectively with building occupants, administrative staff, and leadership to complete daily responsibilities.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Physical capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow both oral and written instructions and perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Must reside within the service area.
