Overview
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Laundry Worker, where your essential duties will involve maintaining the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care environment. Responsibilities
- Gather, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing items.
- Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of laundry operations and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and universal precautions to maintain sanitation standards.
- Engage courteously with residents, staff, and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry services is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Maintain a positive outlook and communicate effectively with building occupants, administrative staff, and leadership to complete daily responsibilities.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Physical capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions and perform repetitive tasks consistently.
- Must reside within the service area.
