Laundry Worker

Position Overview

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking dedicated Laundry Workers to ensure the cleanliness and proper management of linens and garments within long-term care settings. This role is vital in upholding hygiene standards and supporting a positive environment for residents and staff alike.

Key Duties

• Gather, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing items efficiently.
• Operate laundry machinery with attention to safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain detailed records of laundry processes and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to infection control guidelines and universal precaution protocols to maintain sanitation.
• Engage courteously with residents, staff members, and visitors, delivering excellent customer service.
• Perform any other assigned tasks related to laundry and operational support.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Prior experience in laundry services is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Positive demeanor with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with facility occupants and management.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is mandatory.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended durations.
• Comfortable working with cleaning products and following oral and written instructions for routine, repetitive tasks.
• Residence within the service area is required for this position.
