This opening is with a collaborative architecture and interior design practice that delivers thoughtful, innovative spaces for commercial and corporate clients. The team works in a multidisciplinary setting and stays involved in every stage of a project, giving the selected candidate practical exposure, technical development, and the chance to contribute from early concepts through construction.

It is well suited to a recent graduate or an early-career Interior Designer who wants to build a solid base in commercial design while learning from experienced architects and designers in a studio environment.

Role Summary

The Interior Designer will assist the design group across all phases of commercial interior projects, including concept work, space planning, documentation, consultant coordination, and support during construction. The role provides exposure to different project types along with mentorship and room to grow professionally.

Design & Project Support

• Contribute to the creation of design concepts, presentation material, and material selections for commercial interiors.
• Support project teams throughout design, documentation, and construction stages.
• Prepare space plans, interior layouts, and visual presentation packages.
• Build 3D models, renderings, and presentation visuals for client discussions.

Technical Documentation

• Develop construction drawings and document sets using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Help keep project records organized and drawings accurate.
• Work through revisions as the design evolves.
• Assist in maintaining project standards and quality control checks.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants.
• Take part in project meetings, client presentations, and site visits when required.
• Monitor project milestones and help keep work aligned with deadlines.
• Support construction administration tasks and respond to project documentation requests.

Collaboration

• Work closely with teams across architecture, interior design, graphics, and external consultants.
• Bring creative input while contributing in a team-based studio setting.
• Handle several assignments at once while staying organized and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required. Candidates should bring 2 to 4+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design or architecture, and internship exposure in a design or architecture firm is considered a plus.

Applicants should be comfortable using Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, along with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. The role also calls for the ability to produce 3D renderings and presentation materials, a working understanding of construction documentation and design detailing, and strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

The position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Local travel to project sites and client meetings may be needed.
