About the Role
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of elderly community members? As a Home Care Worker with Silverchain Group in Kilkenny, South Australia, you will help older adults retain their independence and promote their well-being through compassionate support.

Candidate Profile
We invite applicants of all experience levels to apply, with a starting wage of $41.08 per hour:
- Those new to aged care will receive full training and support.
- Experienced workers should be comfortable managing daily home care tasks independently.
- Qualified professionals with relevant certificates and strong skills will be eligible for higher hourly pay.
Additionally, candidates must hold a valid Australian driver's license and have access to their own insured, roadworthy vehicle. A Certificate III or higher in Aged Care or Individual Support is preferred but may vary depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping duties such as bed making.
- Cleaning tasks including mopping and vacuuming floors.
- Washing, folding, and ironing laundry items.
- Preparing meals and assisting with grocery shopping.
- Personal care assistance: helping clients get out of bed, shower, and dress each day.
- Medication management support.
- Assistance with mobility and therapy goals tailored to client needs.
- Caring for clients with complex needs, including dementia.
- Offering social and emotional support to clients.
- Transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments.
- Providing respite to family carers to allow them breaks.
