Position Overview

The role of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineer is a full-time, onsite position located in Doha, Qatar. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing HVAC systems across commercial, industrial, and ventilation-intensive projects. A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring energy efficiency, safety standards, and compliance with both local regulations and international norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC system designs and layout plans.
• Conduct heat load calculations to accurately size systems.
• Select suitable HVAC equipment based on project criteria.
• Produce detailed technical drawings and documentation utilizing CAD software.
• Oversee installation and commissioning activities on-site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues effectively.
• Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Evaluate system performance regularly and propose enhancements for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial or industrial HVAC, especially in ventilation-focused environments.
• Strong expertise in HVAC engineering principles and system design.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for technical schematics and layouts.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC system maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of pertinent international standards and local building codes; understanding of sustainability and energy-efficient practices is a plus.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Detail-oriented approach with ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams on-site.
• Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
