Electrical Project Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with hands-on experience in design and implementation of electrical systems for building and MEP projects.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including electricity principles and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Expertise in electrical system design for buildings and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects, encompassing layout planning, creating schematics, and performing load calculations.
• Experience working with power systems and electrical distribution networks, specifically managing medium- and low-voltage systems and coordinating protective devices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Prior involvement in construction or MEP-related projects with proven capabilities in a similar engineering role.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications, and skilled with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant design tools.
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on problem solving, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a capacity to engage collaboratively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Good knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures. Holding professional certifications or membership in recognized engineering organizations is considered advantageous.
