Role Overview - Head of Expansion
The Head of Expansion will spearhead the rapid scaling of AIOS’s GLP-1 customer base across Europe. This senior leadership role requires making multiple European markets launch-ready by ensuring all legal, clinical, pharmaceutical, and operational frameworks are established, enabling the Growth team to swiftly enter new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end European market expansion, progressing from research to launch readiness rapidly.
- Prioritize target countries by evaluating market potential, demand, regulatory complexity, and launch speed.
- Identify and resolve all barriers to launching in each prioritized market.
- Decide the fastest compliant approach for market entry: internal development, partnerships, or acquisitions.
- Ensure legal entities, permissions, registrations, contracts, and compliance frameworks are in place.
- Build or staff necessary clinical infrastructure to deliver patient services.
- Secure medication supply, pharmacy partnerships, and fulfillment capabilities to support scale.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to enable quick market testing by the Growth team.
- Create repeatable playbooks for launching new countries to reduce costs and cycle times.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in expansion, market launches, operations, or general management within a high-growth startup environment.
- Proven track record of leading European launches from concept to active operations.
- Strong judgment for selecting viable markets and entry strategies.
- Hands-on ability to manage partnerships, contracts, entity setups, and supply chain challenges.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory, legal, and clinical environments effectively.
- Exceptional project management skills to handle multiple concurrent country launches with clear ownership.
- Ability to develop scalable systems and standards to accelerate market entry processes.
- Founder mentality with relentless ownership and resourcefulness.

- Experience in heavily regulated industries with a compliance-first mindset.
- Track record expanding across multiple European countries, including Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, and Nordics.
- Skilled in evaluating and executing partnerships, joint ventures, licensing, or acquisitions.
- Proficiency utilizing AI tools for market research, regulatory analysis, planning, and workflow automation.
- Experience building and leading lean, high-performing distributed teams across countries.
- Entrepreneurial background, including founding startups or early-stage project involvement.
