Job description
Role Overview
Are you experienced caring for children as a babysitter, nanny, daycare assistant, or similar? Perhaps you're a retired educator seeking a more intimate setting than a classroom, or known as the cherished family Auntie? Join our team providing nurturing care for toddlers to early elementary-aged children during typical workdays. We have multiple full-time openings offering 30 to 40+ hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
Compensation
- Hourly pay ranging from $16 to $18.
Candidate Profile
- A passion for children, with an engaging, creative, and child-centered approach including activities like play, reading, and arts and crafts, all in the family home setting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with parents and colleagues.
- Availability for at least five days per week, working shifts between 6 and 9 hours within 7am to 7pm.
- Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license to reach work locations.
- Minimum one year of daily child care experience.
- Ability to provide three references: two connected to child care (paid or unpaid) and one character reference.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Highly reliable and someone families can trust.
Work Expectations
- Providing loving care for children within their homes.
- Transportation of children is not required.
- Household tasks are limited to tidying up activities and cleaning after meals involving the child; no other chores.
- Focus on children within your experience range, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary, with a particular demand for care under age 2.
- Delivering a safe environment and age-appropriate hands-on activities informed by observations of the child's development.
