Job description

About the Role

Join our team as a flexible, part-time Back-up Nanny providing in-home child care for multiple families. This opportunity suits individuals who have experience in babysitting, daycare, nanny work, or similar roles, including retired teaching professionals seeking a smaller, more flexible work environment than a traditional classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to child care within family homes without the need to transport children.
  • Maintain cleanliness related to your childcare activities or meals, with no additional household chores.
  • Provide care to children from infants to toddlers, especially focusing on those under 2 years old.
  • Create a safe and engaging experience through age-appropriate hands-on activities tailored to each child's developmental needs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Earn an hourly wage ranging between $23 and $26.50.
  • Receive paid training and a starter kit filled with age-appropriate toys and games to support your childcare duties.
  • Access career advancement opportunities within the childcare field, including priority placement for consistent full or part-time nanny roles.
  • Benefit from paid sick leave whether working part-time or full-time.
  • Full-time employees gain additional perks such as a medical stipend, paid vacation, holidays, student loan repayment matches, and retirement savings matches.
  • Opportunities exist for mileage reimbursement, bonuses for exemplary feedback, and participation in contests and social events for support and community connection.
  • All employment is on a legal W-2 basis with unemployment insurance and the chance to build a professional resume.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, paid or voluntary, including infant care.
  • Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel to different homes in the area.
  • Availability for shifts of 6 to 8 hours on three or more weekdays between 7 am and 7 pm.
  • Exceptional communication skills and responsiveness to the staffing supervisor, always offering a positive demeanor with families.
