Fashion Designer

Position Overview

Astoria Activewear and Haute Swimwear are seeking an experienced and talented fashion designer to join their team. This role involves collaborating closely with the creative director to analyze market trends, develop fresh clothing designs and prints, and oversee the creation of final samples for production approval. Candidates must have a keen aesthetic sense and meticulous attention to detail, in addition to a passion for women's fashion that aligns with the brand's identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends and apply a strong design sensibility to create appealing women's apparel.
• Design and sketch garments using CAD tools like Photoshop and Illustrator or by hand.
• Choose suitable fabrics, trims, and materials consistent with the brand’s style and current trends.
• Ensure proper fit of garments and make necessary revisions.
• Develop comprehensive tech packs and coordinate sample procurement with manufacturers for new collections.
• Work autonomously and consistently meet project deadlines.
• Communicate effectively and organize tasks efficiently within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in women's fashion or clothing design is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in design, fashion, or a related discipline is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the company's products and brand ethos is beneficial.
• Experience in social media and marketing is a plus.
