Facilities Assistant (Cleaner)

Job Overview

This role involves delivering high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services to maintain various areas in a sanitary, safe, and welcoming condition. The Facilities Assistant will help create a pleasant environment for staff and contractors while adhering to established health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties across offices, welfare rooms, meeting areas, kitchens, restrooms, changing rooms, corridors, staircases, and other designated spaces.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with company policies.
• Sanitize toilets, washrooms, kitchen zones, replenishing consumables as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning products, toiletries, and other necessary supplies.
• Identify and report maintenance defects, hazards, or security issues promptly.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely and conduct routine maintenance when appropriate.
• Comply with all health and safety procedures, especially around chemical handling and storage.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed per scheduled standards and timelines.
• Collaborate with team members to provide effective facilities support.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks aligned with the position’s responsibilities.

• Physically able to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, extended standing, and walking.

Work Schedule

32.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

The position is located at St Fergus, Peterhead, Scotland, United Kingdom and requires onsite presence.
