Job Overview
This role involves delivering high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services to maintain various areas in a sanitary, safe, and welcoming condition. The Facilities Assistant will help create a pleasant environment for staff and contractors while adhering to established health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across offices, welfare rooms, meeting areas, kitchens, restrooms, changing rooms, corridors, staircases, and other designated spaces.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with company policies.
- Sanitize toilets, washrooms, kitchen zones, replenishing consumables as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning products, toiletries, and other necessary supplies.
- Identify and report maintenance defects, hazards, or security issues promptly.
- Operate cleaning machinery safely and conduct routine maintenance when appropriate.
- Comply with all health and safety procedures, especially around chemical handling and storage.
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed per scheduled standards and timelines.
- Collaborate with team members to provide effective facilities support.
- Carry out additional reasonable tasks aligned with the position’s responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Practical knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, timely, and trustworthy in fulfilling duties.
- Effective workload management with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Physically able to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, extended standing, and walking.
Work Schedule
32.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
