Job Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of assigned patient and public areas, including trash removal and surface sanitization
- Stocking cleaning supplies, paper goods, and other necessary items in designated areas
- Demonstrating thorough knowledge of infection control, isolation protocols, and cleaning equipment operation
- Using the Bed Management system with handheld devices to facilitate efficient patient bed flow
- Operating equipment such as cleaning carts and managing soiled linens for collection
- Proper disposal of routine and biohazardous waste; disinfecting contaminated areas in adherence to facility standards
- Documenting all cleaning activities accurately
- Accessing various facility areas including ancillary units, restrooms, and offices as assigned
- Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with standard procedures and concepts in environmental services
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and workspaces
- Basic English communication skills
- Proficiency with computers including keyboard and mouse operations
- Capability to use standard office software
- Strong customer service orientation and effective patient interaction
- Ability to comprehend Safety Data Sheets, product labels, reports, and perform fundamental arithmetic
- Reliable following of oral and written instructions and solid grasp of environmental duties
- Previous experience in healthcare cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of additional languages is an asset
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Housekeeping or custodial experience considered a plus

Additional Details
- Salary range: $15.31 to $24.49 per hour
- Subject to Florida Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting as mandated by law
- This position complies with federal and state anti-discrimination regulations
