Role overview
This contract role is for an English Language Specialist focused on transcription. The work is fully remote and can be done from anywhere. The position supports a client project that requires careful audio transcription, polishing of text, and consistent adherence to quality standards.
Compensation
The assignment pays between $20 and $30 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into clear, accurate written English while preserving the intended meaning and formatting.
- Review transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, readability, and overall consistency.
- Follow client instructions and any project-specific transcription rules closely.
- Protect sensitive material and manage confidential information responsibly.
- Complete assigned transcription work within the required timelines.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong command of English, including excellent listening comprehension.
- Previous experience in transcription, editing, or proofreading.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to work within structured guidelines.
- Typing proficiency of at least 60 words per minute.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote setup.
