Role overview
This role supports day-to-day banking operations by handling document processing, data management, and controlled customer communications. The position is focused on accuracy, timely turnaround, and adherence to internal procedures in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out regular business-as-usual tasks such as retrieving documents, preparing customer communications, handling PIN mailer requests, and updating systems so service delivery remains prompt and accurate.
- Manage requests from internal teams, law enforcement bodies, and legal firms by following approved procedures and service level commitments while maintaining compliance and consistency.
- Enter and verify data across assigned systems, performing control checks to protect data accuracy, integrity, and operational reliability.
- Track and resolve exceptions, including returned mail, replacement card requests, PIN reissues, and similar instructions, ensuring each case is closed within the expected process timelines.
- Gather operational information and help produce monthly reports, audit files, and performance measurements that support visibility and ongoing improvement.
- Validate samples and sort scanned records, and raise any mismatches to the Senior Specialist, Team Lead, or Head of Unit for action.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external service providers to keep document flow, archiving, and customer communication running smoothly.
- Maintain disciplined filing and documentation practices so records stay complete, audit-ready, and aligned with internal control standards.
- Contribute to ad-hoc work and team initiatives such as user acceptance testing, template changes, and rollout of process updates to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline is expected.
- Experience in banking or financial services, especially in operations or support work, will be considered an advantage.
- Prior exposure to administrative work, data entry, customer service, or clerical duties is helpful and shows the ability to handle varied tasks.
- The candidate should be able to manage repetitive work carefully and consistently, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, is required for documentation and reporting.
- Comfort with large volumes of documents and routine processes is important.
