As a Data Scientist in the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) department, you will spearhead automation efforts by managing system changes, enhancements, and validations, ensuring adherence to project documents and SOPs. You will also support SMART manufacturing projects through data analytics, reporting tools management, and system support to facilitate efficient data-led operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement system changes, troubleshoot and fix bugs, review project documentation and SOPs, and conduct system validations.
- Analyze production and operational data to extract meaningful insights and make predictions.
- Maintain, support, and administer reporting tools and associated applications.
- Lead and assist projects focused on SMART Manufacturing and automation initiatives, including development and review of project documentation and SOPs.
- Conduct system and software validations to ensure compliance and performance standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT software development lifecycle, system implementation, maintenance, and support.
- Practical expertise in automation engineering, including PLC, SCADA, and MES systems.
- Proficiency with databases such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and Access, and programming languages including Python, R, Microsoft Visual Basic, C#, and ASP.NET.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and networks.
- Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 related to computerized system validation is advantageous.
