About the Role

Join our team in Hamilton as a Community and Events Specialist where you will design and execute engaging events for members in the Central North Island. This role involves both online and face-to-face event planning, supporting member groups, and utilizing your marketing and communication skills to make each event compelling and relevant. You'll maintain strong connections with various stakeholders to ensure events meet member interests and leverage digital tools to enhance engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Oversee the complete event lifecycle, ensuring memorable experiences.
  • Generate excitement through local communications and social media.
  • Support member groups and committees to operate efficiently.
  • Collaborate with business partners to exceed member expectations.
  • Manage CRM and digital platforms to boost member participation and streamline event processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in full-cycle event management, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Adaptable and growth-oriented mindset with strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse interactions.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Curious and eager to continuously learn and innovate.
