Position Overview

This full-time role is based at Bellefontaine Habilitation Center in Saint Louis, MO, focusing on delivering care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The position involves implementing and monitoring habilitation programs, responding effectively to crisis situations, and applying interventions until behaviors become safe. It requires flexibility in work hours including early morning, late nights, weekends, and holidays as per the needs of the supported homes and staff.

Work Schedule

  • Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays with an occasional half-day weekend shift approximately every eight weeks.
  • One late night shift per week and a third (overnight) shift every six weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee individualized habilitation plans as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Respond to and manage crisis scenarios with appropriate interventions to maintain safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and proficiency in safety protocols including Safety Care, Advanced Skills through Safety Care, Behavior Support Strategies, Mental Health First Aid, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, and Standard Operating Procedures for Crisis.

Eligibility Requirements

  • One year of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
