Job Overview

The Health Care Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the delivery of superior, person-centred care services. This role includes managing care assistants, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and elevating customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct supervision visits and risk assessments for client care
  • Manage onboarding of new clients, including creating detailed care plans and assessing associated risks
  • Train and assess new healthcare assistants during their onboarding process
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to clients
  • Collaborate with the Care Manager to prepare, review, and update clients' care plans
  • Respond promptly to emerging issues and assist in their resolution
  • Foster a cooperative work environment and address conflicts proactively
  • Assist the Care Coordinator with staff holiday scheduling to maintain required service levels
  • Build and sustain trusting relationships with clients based on honesty
  • Perform additional assigned tasks from management, including direct healthcare assistant duties
  • Ensure incident reports are completed promptly
  • Keep carer competency assessments current
  • Report daily complaints to the Branch Manager and provide full updates if personally addressed

Qualifications and Training

  • Holder of QQI Level 6 Health Care Award or equivalent, or actively working toward it
  • Possession of a full clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Completion of mandatory training including Children's First, Safeguarding, Dementia, GDPR, Basics of Infection Prevention and Control, Hand Hygiene, and PPE usage in community healthcare, all via HSE LAND platform

Working Hours
