Role Overview
This position offers comprehensive administrative assistance to the Executive Vice President of Events, encompassing high-level executive support along with operational and project-based tasks related to notable NHL events like Outdoor Games, NHL All-Star Weekend, Stanley Cup Final, Draft, and World Cup of Hockey. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and passionate about sports, entertainment, and event management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage travel logistics both within the country and internationally, including flights, ground transportation, and hotel bookings.
- Oversee calendar management by coordinating and scheduling internal and external meetings and resolving any conflicts.
- Handle professional phone communications, including answering calls and promptly delivering messages.
- Prepare and ensure timely, accurate reconciliation of expense reports consistent with company policies.
- Arrange and facilitate both in-person and virtual meetings, including Zoom calls.
- Process invoices and monitor outstanding billings.
- Collaborate positively with various departments, member clubs, host venues, and key vendors.
- Perform additional duties within the department as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous experience in an administrative support role.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Capable of thriving in a high-visibility, high-pressure, and deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence leadership.
- Competent in data analysis and assessment.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong follow-through.
- Positive and energetic demeanor.
- Availability and willingness to travel for NHL events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a professional sports league, team, or media organization.
- Familiarity with hockey and NHL operations.
- French language skills are advantageous.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $70,000 annually. Final remuneration will depend on various factors including the candidate’s experience, relevant skills, market demands, and location. Applicants should include their salary expectations in their cover letter.
