Analyst - Venture & Growth Debt

About the Role

This position is for an Analyst within BlackRock’s Venture & Growth Debt team based in London. BlackRock operates a comprehensive global credit platform investing across diverse risk profiles, locations, and liquidity horizons. The Venture & Growth Debt team is Europe’s foremost manager in this niche, supplying capital to rapidly expanding technology and healthcare firms from early growth stages to pre-IPO and publicly listed phases. Typical transaction sizes range from €2 million to over €100 million. The London office collaborates closely with colleagues across Europe and Israel, leveraging combined sector expertise supported by BlackRock’s extensive resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist across all analytical aspects throughout the life of venture debt transactions
• Conduct detailed credit analysis, build financial models, and perform thorough due diligence
• Execute market research, competitive positioning studies, and reference checks of management teams
• Develop investment proposals and document internal credit assessments
• Support structuring efforts and negotiation of deal terms and contracts
• Manage transaction workflows involving both internal departments and external parties
• Oversee portfolio company performance monitoring and maintain ongoing relationship management
• Contribute to quarterly company valuations and investor reporting processes

Candidate Profile

• One to three years of relevant experience in investment banking, private credit, venture capital/growth equity, consulting, or related financial fields
• Highly motivated team-oriented individual with adaptability and open-mindedness
• Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis of financial statements
• Keen commercial interest in fast-growing technology and healthcare sectors
• Excellent analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
